I have never really been a big fan of alternative history, and this book just reinforced that idea. And the whole thing with the stereotypical alien is just way too over-the-top for me. What is this, a circus?
I find that I often do not remember what a particular book was about, or the title of a really good book I read last summer. I decided to extend it to movies and games because I often find that I play a game or watch a movie that is utterly and truly forgettable, and... I forget about it. Instead of renting the same thing again (which I have done), I now have a reference. A blacklist.
I am hoping this also helps to more accurately define that elusive "what I like" factor. I have a vague idea. I also want to capture great authors, significant directors, wonderful producers and excellent artists. This will be my whitelist. Maybe this blog will help me.
